The biennial International Transportation Design Forum at Pforzheim University in Germany took place on July 10, with five international design schools coming together to present and discuss the latest work of their students. Held this year at the Congress Center Pforzheim, the Design Forum was held in conjunction with the annual summer degree show where Diploma and Masters students presented their graduation work. The event was chaired by Transportation Design Professor James Kelly who welcomed the tutors and their accompanying students to the event.
A GROUP of Doctor Who die-hards from Warwickshire have transformed a battered old car into a Dalek for a charity rally across Europe. Four friends have spent months turning the seven-year-old Fiat people carrier into a four-wheeled likeness of The Doctor's arch-nemesis for the Wacky Rally, starting Friday. Irish tuning firm Onyx Concept will be taking its lineup of cars to SEMA, and we have a feeling the company's Range Rover Aspen Ultimate Series will fit right in in Las Vegas. Onyx Concept is not as old as the old as some of the other European tuning houses, but they've already made waves with their the tuning programs for the cars that they have offered. The Range Rover Aspen Ultimate Series is not going to be all show and no go, even though we have to admit that we didn't think it was going to be easy to improve upon the supercharged Range Rover's stock output of 505 hp.
